18-inch 240 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G815LP-IS96 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8 GB GDDR7 GPU. It ships with 32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 18.0-inch IPS panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate for fast-paced play.

Check power and ports before ordering

The unit includes a 280 W power supply and a 90 Whr 4-cell battery. Verify your mains outlet can deliver the required wattage and that your peripherals match the available HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Type-C and RJ-45 connections. The chassis measures 17.25 x 11.75 x 1.4 inches.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The 24-core CPU can reach 5.4 GHz turbo while the discrete RTX 5070 handles heavy rendering loads. Under sustained gaming the 280 W adapter supplies peak power and the internal cooling manages heat from both chips. Fan speed ramps with load, so expect audible airflow during intensive sessions.
