PCIe 4.0 graphics card with 12 GB GDDR6X memory, 5888 CUDA cores, boost to 2640 MHz, DLSS 3 and ray tracing, triple Axial-tech fans in a 3.12-slot cooler, two HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a
The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 is a 12GB graphics card built for gamers and creators who need high frame rates at 1440p and 4K. It runs on the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture with 5888 CUDA cores and a 192-bit GDDR6X memory interface. The PCI Express 4.0 interface connects to modern platforms without bottlenecking throughput.
A 3.12-slot design holds a massive fin array fed by three Axial-tech fans scaled for 31% more airflow. Diecast shroud, frame and backplate are vented to move heat away from the GPU die. Digital power control with high-current power stages and 15K capacitors delivers stable current while keeping electrical noise low during typical gaming loads.
Two HDMI 2.1 ports and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs drive up to four displays at 7680 x 4320 resolution. The vented metal backplate reinforces the PCB and aids heat dissipation inside crowded cases. Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing improves long-term reliability, while GPU Tweak III software lets you adjust clocks, fan curves and monitoring overlays.

Verify the case GPU-length limit and the distance from the motherboard PCIe 4.0 slot to the side panel before ordering; the 3.12-slot thickness and triple-fan shroud need extra millimetres on both axes.
The three Axial-tech fans use sleeve bearings; dust buildup on the massive fin array reduces the 31% airflow gain, so plan to clean the heatsink and replace fans if bearing noise appears.
The 3.12-slot fin stack and triple-fan design dissipate heat until the GPU hits its internal temperature target, then clock speeds step down to protect the 15K capacitors and power stages.
