ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition graphics card

SKU CH-SFE5-KS07W

Delivers 16 GB GDDR6X on a 3.5-slot cooler with vapor chamber, triple Axial-tech fans moving 23% more air, and factory OC to 2670 MHz for RTX 4080 SUPER performance

  • DLSS 3 boosts frame rates with 4th Generation Tensor Cores
  • OC mode reaches 2670 MHz for higher clock speeds
  • Axial-tech fans deliver 23% more airflow for cooler operation
  • Patented vapor chamber with milled heatspreader lowers GPU temperatures
  • 5-slot design with massive fin array maximises heat dissipation

ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X

The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition targets enthusiasts and creators who need 16GB of GDDR6X memory on a PCIe 4.0 interface. It runs at 2640 MHz in default mode and 2670 MHz in OC mode. A 3.5-slot vapor-chamber cooler with three Axial-tech fans keeps temperatures low inside full-size chassis.

Sustained load thermal behaviour

Under continuous load the patented vapor chamber and milled heatspreader move heat into a massive fin array. Three Axial-tech fans scaled for 23% more airflow maintain steady clocks without throttling. A diecast shroud, frame and vented backplate add rigidity while channelling air through the heatsink for consistent performance during long renders or gaming sessions.

Upgrade path from earlier 4080-class cards

The SUPER variant brings higher memory bandwidth and faster boost clocks than the original 4080. Fourth-generation Tensor cores and DLSS 3 frame generation raise effective frame rates in supported titles. Third-generation RT cores improve ray-tracing throughput. The jump is worthwhile when your workload hits VRAM limits or you need the extra compute headroom for 4K gaming and creative applications.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 3.5-slot Strix RTX 4080 SUPER run under all-day load?

The card uses a patented vapor chamber with a milled heatspreader plus three scaled-up Axial-tech fans that deliver 23% more airflow, keeping GPU temperatures lower while the 3.5-slot fin array and vented diecast frame exhaust heat efficiently.

Which power connectors must my PSU already provide for this 16GB GDDR6X card?

Digital power control with high-current power stages and 15K capacitors requires sufficient PCIe power cables from your supply; check the card's edge for the exact connector count and plug type before installing.

Will the HDMI 2.1a and DisplayPort 1.4a outputs on this RTX 4080 SUPER drive my older G-Sync monitor?

The HDMI 2.1a and DisplayPort 1.4a ports support variable refresh rate and high resolutions, so an older G-Sync display will work at its native refresh rate and resolution without extra adapters.
