Processor and platform

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores and a 5.7GHz maximum frequency. A 360mm liquid cooler keeps thermals in check while the 750W power supply feeds the NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card and 16GB of DDR5 memory. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the system ships tested for immediate use.

Who this suits

Gamers and creators who want a ready-to-play machine with strong single-thread speed and 2.5G Ethernet for low-latency networking will benefit from the 24-core CPU and RTX 5060 GPU. Buyers who need more storage capacity than the single 1TB NVMe drive provides, or who require higher video memory for 4K texture workloads, should look at a different configuration.

Deciding specification

The NVIDIA RTX 5060 ships with 8GB of GDDR7 video memory, which determines the texture and resolution ceiling for modern titles. If your target games or applications need more VRAM than 8GB, this graphics card will become the limiting factor regardless of the 24-core processor or 16GB system memory.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler require inside the ROG Strix Helios GX601?

The 360 mm radiator mounts in the front or top of the GX601 chassis; verify the 360 mm length fits your chosen position before installing.

What is the correct order for fitting the 360 mm liquid cooler to the Core Ultra 9 285K?

Mount the radiator and fans first, then lower the cold-plate onto the CPU, secure the pump block with the supplied brackets, and finally connect the pump and fan headers.

When should the 360 mm liquid cooler coolant be checked or replaced?

Inspect the coolant level and clarity once a year; replace the fluid if it becomes cloudy or after roughly three to five years of continuous use.
