What the cooler is and who it targets

The ASUS ROG Strix LC 240 RGB is a closed-loop liquid CPU cooler with a 240 mm aluminium radiator and two 120 mm addressable RGB fans. It is built for enthusiasts who want low noise and strong thermal capacity for mainstream Intel and AMD desktop sockets.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

The unit fits Intel LGA 115x, 1200, 1366, 1700, 2011, 2011-3 and 2066 plus AMD AM4 and TR4 when the bundled TR4 bracket is used. Builders on newer AMD AM5 or future Intel platforms cannot install it because the required retention hardware is not included.

The specification that decides fit

The radiator measures 272 mm long, 121 mm wide and 27 mm thick, so the case must provide a 240 mm mounting area with at least that much clearance for the radiator and 25 mm thick fans.

Questions about this item

What CPU socket brackets do I already need for the ROG Strix LC 240 RGB to fit my motherboard?

The cooler includes mounting hardware for Intel LGA 115x, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066 and AMD AM4; LGA 1700 brackets must be obtained separately from the manufacturer.

Will the 272 mm radiator and 120 mm fans clear my existing case and RAM modules?

The radiator measures 272 x 121 x 27 mm and uses two 120 x 120 x 25 mm fans; verify your case supports a 240 mm radiator and that the 45 mm pump height does not interfere with tall RAM heatsinks.

How can I confirm the pump and fans are running correctly after installation?

Check that the pump RPM reports in BIOS or monitoring software and that the two 4-pin PWM fans spin between 800 and 2500 RPM with airflow of 80.95 CFM at a noise level up to 37.6 dB(A).
