18-inch 240 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and a 5.4 GHz turbo frequency. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory drives the 2560 x 1600 display at 240 Hz. The system ships with 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2021 licence are pre-installed.

Before ordering check power and ports

Verify that your workspace can accommodate a 15.71 x 11.73 x 0.93 inch chassis weighing 6.28 pounds and that you have a suitable power outlet for the supplied adapter. The laptop provides three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one HDMI 2.1 output, one RJ-45 jack and a headphone socket. Wireless connectivity uses Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth. There is no SD card reader and no optical drive.

Upgrade from 60 Hz panels or lesser GPUs

This model replaces laptops limited to 60 Hz refresh rates or graphics cards with less video memory. The jump is worth it when you need the 240 Hz panel for competitive play and the 12 GB GDDR7 frame buffer for modern titles at 2560 x 1600. The 24-core CPU and 64 GB DDR5 also lift heavy multitasking and content workloads well beyond 8-core or 16 GB configurations.
