27" QHD Fast IPS gaming monitor

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMES is a 27-inch display built for competitive players who value speed and visual clarity. Its 2560 x 1440 resolution and Fast IPS panel deliver sharp detail with vibrant colour reproduction. A 300Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG response time minimise motion blur during fast-paced action. AMD FreeSync Premium and ELMB Sync work together to reduce tearing and stuttering.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The monitor operates at standard desktop power levels with no active cooling fans, so it runs silently during extended gaming sessions. HDR support adds brighter highlights and deeper contrast without increasing audible noise or heat output noticeably. Typical use keeps the chassis warm to the touch but well within normal operating limits for an IPS panel. No thermal throttling or fan curves are present to manage.

USB-C connectivity and bundled accessories

A USB-C port simplifies single-cable connections for compatible laptops and handheld gaming devices, carrying both video and data. The stand provides tilt, swivel and height adjustment so users can set an ergonomic viewing position without extra hardware. On-screen display controls and ASUS DisplayWidget Center software let you tune colour, crosshair overlays and refresh-rate settings quickly. No additional cables or calibration tools are mentioned in the specifications.

Detach the included stand by releasing the quick-release latch at the back, then mount the display using the VESA mounting holes on the rear.

What part of the XG27ACMES will need replacement first?

The LED backlight behind the Fast IPS panel gradually dims over years of use; no user-serviceable parts are inside.

What limit appears first during long 300Hz gaming sessions?

Sustained high refresh rate can raise panel temperature, triggering automatic brightness reduction to protect the 2560 x 1440 Fast IPS display.
