Handheld gaming PC with 7" 120Hz touchscreen

The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X RC73XA is a Windows 11 Pro handheld built around an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It integrates AMD Radeon graphics and ships with 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory. The 7 inch FHD display runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate with touch input. Storage is provided by a 1 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD.

PCIe 4.0 x4 storage and on-board memory limits

The internal SSD uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface in the M.2 2280 form factor, so sequential throughput is bounded by that generation and lane count. System memory is 24 GB of LPDDR5X soldered to the board, meaning capacity cannot be increased after purchase. The eight core processor reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 5.0 GHz within the thermal envelope of the handheld chassis.

24 GB LPDDR5X decides multitasking headroom

Because the memory is not upgradeable, the 24 GB LPDDR5X configuration is the single specification that determines whether the device can hold large game textures, background applications and operating system overhead simultaneously. Buyers who run memory intensive titles or keep many programs open should verify this capacity meets their workload before ordering.
