ROG STRIX RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB

The ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Advanced Overclocked 8G is a refurbished graphics card built on the NVIDIA Turing architecture. It delivers 3072 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit interface for high-refresh 1440p and entry-level 4K gaming. The card ships with factory OC and Gaming mode profiles reaching up to 1860 MHz boost clock.

PCIe 3.0 250W 650W PSU 8-Pin

Before ordering, verify that your motherboard provides a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and that your power supply is rated at least 650W with two available 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The card draws up to 250W TDP and requires both connectors seated firmly. Confirm your chassis length clearance for a triple-fan design and that the rear bracket occupies two slots.

HDMI 2.0b DP 1.4 USB-C 4K VR

The I/O panel supplies two HDMI 2.0b ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and a USB Type-C connector, driving up to four displays at 7680 x 4320 resolution. HDCP 2.2 support enables protected 4K streaming while the Turing RT cores accelerate real-time ray tracing in supported titles. SLI Ready certification allows multi-GPU scaling when paired with a compatible bridge and motherboard.

Questions about this item

Does the refurbished ROG-STRIX-RTX2080S-A8G-GAMING include the original accessories or only the triple-fan card itself?

The unit ships as the graphics card only; original packaging, cables, driver media and any bundled adapters are not included with this refurbished model.

Should I choose the OC mode at 1860 MHz boost or the gaming mode at 1830 MHz for daily use?

Gaming mode runs at 1830 MHz boost with quieter fan curves, while OC mode pushes to 1860 MHz for extra headroom in heavy workloads; both share the same 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB GDDR6.

What does the 15500 MHz effective memory clock mean once the card is installed in a PCIe 3.0 system with a 650 W PSU?

The 15500 MHz GDDR6 speed feeds the 256-bit bus so the GPU can move high-resolution frame data fast enough for 7680 x 4320 output across the two HDMI 2.0b and two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
