1U rackmount barebone supporting Intel Xeon E-2300 or Pentium CPUs, four DDR4 DIMM slots up to 128 GB, M.2 and two PCIe 4.0 slots, dual gigabit LAN, and 350 W 80 Plus power
The ASUS RS100-E11-PI235W is a 1U rackmount barebone server designed for compact deployments. It uses the Intel C252 chipset with an LGA 1200 socket and includes a 350W 80 Plus power supply. No processor, memory or storage drives are installed.
This chassis suits builders creating a single-socket Xeon E-2300 or Pentium system with up to 128GB of DDR4 UDIMM. It is not for buyers needing multi-processor support, ECC memory speeds beyond 3200, or more than two PCIe expansion slots.
The LGA 1200 socket limits the build to Intel Xeon E-2300 family or Pentium processors with a maximum 95W TDP. Selecting a compatible CPU is the single decision that determines whether this barebone fits the intended workload.

The 350W 80 Plus unit delivers up to 350W total; a 95W Xeon E-2300 leaves the remainder for memory, two 3.5" drives, two 2.5" drives, one M.2 device and up to two PCIe 4.0 cards.
The 1U rackmount uses internal fans sized for a 95W TDP processor; sustained load keeps the fans at speeds that maintain safe temperatures within the 1U airflow path.
You need an LGA 1200 Xeon E-2300 or Pentium CPU, DDR4 3200/2933/2666 UDIMM up to 128GB, and 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives plus an optional M.2 2242/2260/2280/22110 SSD.
