24GB GDDR6X Graphics Card

The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 delivers 24GB of GDDR6X memory across a 384-bit interface with 10496 CUDA cores. It targets creators and enthusiasts who need high memory capacity for 8K workflows, complex rendering, or heavy compute tasks. The card operates at a 1725 MHz boost clock in OC mode and 1695 MHz in gaming mode.

PCIe 4.0 Slot and 850W Power Supply

Verify your motherboard provides a PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot for full bandwidth. The card requires three 8-pin power connectors and a minimum 850W power supply. Ensure your chassis accommodates a triple-fan cooler and that your display cables match the two HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs.

Upgrade From 10GB or 12GB VRAM Cards

Moving from a 10GB or 12GB model removes VRAM bottlenecks in high-resolution textures and large datasets. The jump is worth it when 24GB lets you keep entire scenes in memory rather than streaming from system RAM. SLI Ready support remains for legacy multi-GPU compute workflows.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what extra cables or parts do I need to buy separately?

The card includes the triple-fan cooler and bracket; you must supply a power supply rated at 850 W and three 8-pin PCIe power cables.

Which clock setting should I run — OC mode at 1725 MHz or Gaming mode at 1695 MHz?

OC mode pushes the boost to 1725 MHz for maximum frame rates; Gaming mode runs at 1695 MHz with slightly lower power draw.

What does the 19.5 Gbps memory speed actually deliver inside a system?

The 19.5 Gbps GDDR6X on a 384-bit bus feeds the 10496 CUDA cores enough bandwidth for 4K and 8K workloads at 7680 x 4320 resolution.
