24GB GDDR6X graphics card

The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 delivers 24GB of GDDR6X memory across a 384-bit interface with 10496 CUDA cores. It targets creators and enthusiasts running 7680 x 4320 workloads or multi-monitor arrays. The PCI Express 4.0 interface supports high-bandwidth data transfer for modern platforms. Boost clocks reach 1890 MHz in OC mode and 1860 MHz in Gaming mode.

PCIe 4.0 slot and 850W PSU required

Verify your motherboard provides a PCI Express 4.0 slot with sufficient physical clearance for a triple-slot design. The card draws power through three 8-pin connectors and the manufacturer recommends an 850W power supply. Ensure your chassis airflow can accommodate the card length and exhaust layout. HDCP 2.3 compliance is needed for protected 4K content playback.

750W TDP with triple-fan cooling

The thermal design power is rated at 750W, so sustained loads will move significant heat through the triple-fan cooler. Expect audible fan ramp under full compute or gaming scenarios while idle noise remains low. Power draw scales with the 1890 MHz boost clock and 19.5 Gbps memory speed. Adequate case ventilation is essential to maintain stable temperatures during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The card includes the GPU with a triple-fan cooler, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and 3 DisplayPort 1.4a outputs. You must supply a PSU of at least 850 W and three 8-pin PCIe power cables.

Should I pick the OC mode or the Gaming mode for my build?

OC mode runs the boost clock at 1890 MHz while Gaming mode runs at 1860 MHz. Choose OC mode if your cooling and power delivery can sustain the higher frequency; otherwise Gaming mode offers a lower thermal target.

What does the 19.5 Gbps memory speed mean for 4K gaming?

The 24 GB GDDR6X frame buffer on a 384-bit bus at 19.5 Gbps delivers high bandwidth for 4K textures and multi-monitor setups up to 7680 x 4320 resolution.
