ASUS

ASUS SYS-PAR002 rack server, Xeon Gold 5403N, 128GB DDR5, 480GB NVMe

SKU CH-5PZ2-DPZ58 MPN SYS-PAR002

A 2U rack server with dual Xeon Gold 5403N CPUs, 128 GB DDR5 ECC memory and a 480 GB NVMe SSD

  • Ready for heavy workloads with 128GB DDR5 5600MHz ECC memory
  • Intel Xeon Gold 5403N processor powers demanding compute tasks
  • Fast storage access via 480GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
  • Dual 64GB DIMMs provide high-capacity registered memory
  • Enterprise-grade reliability with ASUS ESR1-511-X4TF barebone platform

Server configuration

This ASUS SYS-PAR002 rack server arrives as a configured system with an Intel Xeon Gold 5403N processor, 128GB of DDR5 5600MHz ECC registered memory in two 64GB modules, and a 480GB Kingston DC2000B PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD installed in the ESR1-511-X4TF barebone chassis.

Who this suits

Organisations deploying memory-intensive workloads such as virtualisation hosts or in-memory databases will benefit from the 128GB ECC capacity and registered DIMM reliability. Buyers who need more storage or additional PCIe expansion should look at other platforms.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 128GB DDR5 5600MHz ECC registered memory capacity; if your application requires more or less registered ECC memory, this system is not the right match.

Questions about this item

What PCIe version does the 480GB NVMe drive use, and what does that cap in practice?

The Kingston DC2000B is a PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD, so throughput is limited to the 4.0 lane speeds of the platform.

What physical space and memory slots does this server need for the 128GB DDR5 kit?

It uses two 64GB DDR5 5600 MHz ECC registered DIMMs, requiring two compatible DIMM slots in the ESR1-511-X4TF barebone.

How is the CPU installed, and what step do builders often get wrong?

The Xeon Gold 5403N is pre-installed in the barebone; the common mistake is assuming a separate socket installation is required.
