16-inch FHD+ 165Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS TUF F16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around a 1920 x 1200 display running at 165Hz. An Intel Core i5-13450HX processor with 10 cores and a 4.6 GHz turbo drives the system. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6 handles graphics workloads.

64GB DDR5 and 2TB PCIe storage

The 64GB DDR5 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD suit users who run heavy multitasking workloads or large game libraries without upgrading. Buyers needing a card reader or fingerprint reader should look elsewhere as neither is present. The 55W CPU and discrete GPU demand robust cooling for sustained loads.

Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort 2.1

A Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 support is the key connectivity feature for docking or high-resolution external displays. Additional I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, USB 3.2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 LAN and audio jack. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 provide wireless connectivity.

Questions about this item

Will the 64 GB DDR5 memory or 2 TB PCIe SSD need replacement later?

Both components are soldered or integrated and not user-replaceable, so no maintenance is expected for memory or storage.

What limits sustained performance first on the i5-13450HX and RTX 5050?

The 55 W CPU power ceiling and shared thermal solution throttle clocks before the GPU reaches its own limit.

How loud and hot does the 16" FHD+ 165 Hz chassis get during all-day loads?

Fans spin up to audible levels and the keyboard deck reaches warm temperatures, but the 0.7 inch profile keeps surface heat manageable.
