16-inch FHD+ 165Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS TUF F16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5-13450HX 10-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6 video memory. It ships with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro with an Office 2024 license. The 1920 x 1200 display refreshes at 165Hz for smooth motion in fast-paced titles.

Suited for high-refresh 1080p gaming, not 4K

This machine suits players who want high frame rates at 1920 x 1200 resolution and creators who need 32GB memory for multitasking. The 10-core CPU and RTX 5050 combination handles modern games at high settings on the built-in panel. Buyers targeting 4K gaming, professional colour-critical work, or upgradeable memory slots should look at larger workstation-class systems.

RTX 5050 8GB GDDR6 graphics decide the fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 with 8GB GDDR6. It defines the rendering ceiling for the 165Hz FHD+ panel and the compute headroom for GPU-accelerated workloads. If your workflow or game library demands more video memory or higher rasterisation throughput, a model with a higher-tier GPU is required.

Questions about this item

What is included in the box with the ASUS TUF F16 laptop and what must be purchased separately?

The box contains the laptop with its 16" FHD+ 165Hz display, Intel Core i5-13450HX processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GDDR6 graphics, 32GB DDR5 memory, 2TB PCIe SSD, Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 licence. No external peripherals or additional storage are included.

Which configuration of the TUF F16 should I choose if I want the 10-core 2.40GHz i5-13450HX with 32GB RAM and 2TB storage?

This model is a single fixed configuration: 10-core i5-13450HX at 2.40GHz up to 4.6 GHz, 32GB DDR5, 2TB PCIe SSD, RTX 5050 8GB GDDR6, 16" FHD+ 165Hz screen, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. There are no alternative capacity or GPU options listed for this SKU.

How does the 165Hz FHD+ panel perform in actual games with the RTX 5050 8GB GPU?

The 165Hz refresh rate on the 1920 x 1200 display allows smooth motion up to 165 frames per second. The RTX 5050 with 8GB GDDR6 drives modern titles at high settings near that ceiling, while the 55W i5-13450HX keeps frame times consistent during extended sessions.
