Core hardware and intended use

The ASUS TUF F16 gaming laptop pairs a 16-core Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU that carries 8GB of GDDR7 memory. A 165 Hz WUXGA IPS panel delivers smooth motion for competitive titles. The system ships with 64GB of DDR5 5600 RAM and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, so it is ready for modern games and heavy multitasking without further upgrades.

Installation notes and common issues

The unit arrives with the factory box opened and resealed because the memory and storage were upgraded to the advertised 64GB and 4TB configuration. No end-user assembly is required; simply complete the Windows 11 Pro out-of-box experience. The only typical hiccup is the first boot taking a little longer while the OS finalises drivers for the new components.

Pre-purchase checklist

Verify that your workflow can use Windows 11 Pro and that any external displays you plan to connect support HDMI 2.1 or Thunderbolt 4 for full resolution and refresh rate. Confirm you have space for a 16.0 inch chassis and that your network environment can take advantage of WIFI 6E, Bluetooth 5.1 or the wired RJ45 port. The 115 W GPU power target means the included adapter is sized accordingly.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 165 Hz panel and RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 are active after setup?

Open the NVIDIA control panel to verify the GPU shows RTX 5060 with 8 GB GDDR7, then set the display to 165 Hz in Windows display settings and run a game with the overlay enabled to see the frame rate match the panel refresh.

What ships in the box and what must I source myself?

The laptop, power adapter and Windows 11 Pro licence are included; the 64 GB DDR5 5600 memory and 4 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD are already installed, so no extra parts are required unless you want an external mouse or headset.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the highest factory memory and storage?

This single SKU already provides the maximum 64 GB DDR5 5600 RAM and a 4 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, so there is no higher-capacity version to select.
