TUF Gaming A15 FA507XI-EH94 identity

The TUF Gaming A15 FA507XI-EH94 is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop built around an 8 core Ryzen 9 7940HS processor that reaches 5.2 GHz. It pairs 32 GB of DDR5 memory with a GeForce RTX 4070 GPU carrying 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory. The 144 Hz Full HD panel and Windows 11 Pro target competitive players and creators who need high frame rates in a portable chassis.

Thermals acoustics and power in daily use

A 240 W power adapter feeds the system while a 90 Whr 4 cell battery handles untethered sessions. The 15.6 inch footprint and 4.85 lb weight keep the cooling assembly compact enough for desk or lap use during typical productivity and light gaming loads. Fan noise stays subdued when the CPU and GPU are not pinned at their maximum boost clocks.

Sustained load behaviour

Under extended heavy workloads the Ryzen 9 7940HS maintains its 5.2 GHz turbo within the thermal envelope of the A15 chassis. The RTX 4070 continues to draw from its 8 GB GDDR6 pool while the dual SSD RAID 1 array sustains read throughput without throttling. Surface temperatures rise above idle levels but remain within the design limits of the Mecha Gray enclosure.

Questions about this item

How do I add a second M.2 SSD to the FA507XI-EH94, and what step do people miss?

Remove the bottom panel, insert the PCIe NVMe drive into the empty M.2 slot, then initialise it in Windows Disk Management — the step many skip.

Which components in this laptop will need replacement first?

The 90 Whr battery and the two 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 1 are the only user-replaceable parts that degrade with time.

What thermal limit appears first during long gaming sessions on the Ryzen 9 7940HS and RTX 4070?

The CPU hits its 5.2 GHz turbo ceiling and throttles back once the 240 W adapter can no longer feed both the 8-core processor and 8 GB GDDR6 GPU simultaneously.
