Built for competitive play

The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 pairs an 8-core Ryzen 9 7940HS that reaches 5.2 GHz with a GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU carrying 8 GB GDDR6 memory. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 system RAM and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD keep large game installs and streaming workloads responsive. A 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 panel refreshes at 144 Hz for smooth motion in fast titles. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

Thermals and power in daily sessions

A 240 W adapter feeds the CPU and discrete graphics while a 90 Whr 4-cell battery handles untethered time. The chassis moves heat away from the processor and GPU during extended matches so clock speeds stay high without loud fan ramping. Bluetooth 5.2 and 802.11ax Wi-Fi keep wireless peripherals stable when the system is under load.

Connectivity that shapes the desk

One HDMI 2.1 output drives an external high-refresh monitor at native resolution. Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Type-C ports accept docks, storage and charging gear through a single cable each. A wired RJ-45 jack guarantees low-latency networking for tournament play. The 720p webcam and RGB backlit keyboard complete a ready-to-stream setup.

Questions about this item

How do I install extra DDR5 memory in the SO-DIMM slot, and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom panel, insert the DDR5 SO-DIMM at an angle until the clips click, then re-enable the memory remap option in BIOS so the full capacity appears in Windows.

Which component will need replacement first under heavy daily use?

The 4-cell 90 WHr battery will lose usable capacity before the SSD or memory, so plan a battery swap after two to three years of full charge cycles.

What thermal limit appears first during long gaming sessions?

The Ryzen 9 7940HS hits its 5.2 GHz turbo ceiling and then throttles to stay within the 240 W power supply budget, capping sustained GPU boost on the RTX 4070.
