AM5 ATX board with hidden-connector design, 14+2+1 80A DrMOS stages, DDR5 to 8000 MT/s, PCIe 5.0 x16 and M.2, Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gb LAN, USB 20Gbps Type-C and 600W graphics slot
The ASUS TUF GAMING B850-BTF WIFI W is an ATX motherboard built for AMD Ryzen 7000 8000 9000 series processors. It targets DIY builders who want a clean interior and strong power delivery. The hidden-connector design routes key cables to the rear for easier routing. A 14 plus 2 plus 1 80A DrMOS stage VRM with 8 layer PCB and 8 plus 8 pin ProCool connectors feeds the CPU.
Storage expansion centres on three M.2 sockets all fitted with heatsinks. The primary slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x4 with Ryzen 9000 and 7000 CPUs while the second and third operate at PCIe 4.0 x4 or x2 depending on the processor generation. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports and AMD RAIDXpert2 RAID 0 1 5 10 support round out the storage options.
Network and I/O include Wi-Fi 7 Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet rear USB 20Gbps Type-C front USB 10Gbps Type-C header and a Thunderbolt USB4 header. The graphics card high-power slot can deliver up to 600 watts through the board. Builders needing more than three M.2 drives or legacy PCI slots should consider other models.

It gives the board 14 core phases, two SOC phases and one auxiliary phase, each rated at 80 amps, so the VRM runs cool even when a high-wattage Ryzen 7000, 8000 or 9000 series CPU is under sustained load.
The slot is wired for PCIe 5.0 x16 bandwidth, but today’s GPUs top out at PCIe 4.0 x16, so the extra headroom simply future-proofs the board for next-generation cards.
The rear-mounted power and data headers require a chassis with a cut-out behind the motherboard tray deep enough for the 8+8 pin ProCool cables and front-panel USB 20Gbps Type-C connector to plug in without bending.
