Ready-to-game laptop with hybrid storage

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT-EB73 ships with a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD paired to a 2TB HDD, giving fast boot and load times plus large capacity for game libraries. An AMD Ryzen 7 3750H four-core processor at 2.3 GHz and 32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory handle multitasking and modern titles. The 15.6 inch Full HD display runs at 120Hz for smooth motion.

Connections and expansion for a complete setup

Two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port and an HDMI output let you add a mouse, external drive and external monitor without a hub. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 cover wired and wireless networking. A 720p webcam and a backlit keyboard support streaming and low-light play. The 150W power supply charges the 48WHr three-cell battery.

Thermals and acoustics in daily use

The TUF cooling design manages heat from the GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 GPU and the Ryzen CPU during extended sessions. Fan noise stays at a moderate level for a 4.8 lb chassis measuring 14.2 by 10.5 by 1 inches. Power draw peaks at the 150W adapter rating under heavy load, while lighter tasks draw considerably less. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch 120Hz display and GTX 1650 graphics handle current games at 1080p?

The 1920x1080 120Hz panel and dedicated GTX 1650 with 4GB GDDR5 deliver smooth 1080p gaming on popular titles; the 32GB DDR4 and Ryzen 7 3750H keep background tasks from limiting frame rates.

Can I add more storage later or do I need an external drive now?

The laptop already includes a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for OS and games plus a 2TB HDD for media, so most users will not need extra internal or external storage right away.

What ports are available for a monitor, mouse, keyboard and headset?

You get one HDMI for an external display, two USB 3.1 Gen1, one USB 2.0 for peripherals, a 3.5mm combo jack for headset audio, plus Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi for networking.
