TUF Gaming RTX 3090 24GB GDDR6X

The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 OC ships with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit bus and 10496 CUDA cores. It targets creators and enthusiasts who need high frame-buffer capacity for 4K gaming, rendering or AI workloads. The card runs at a 1740 MHz gaming clock and a 1770 MHz OC boost clock.

Installation notes for the triple-slot design

The card occupies three expansion slots and draws power through standard PCIe 4.0 x16 plus auxiliary connectors. Ensure the case has enough length and airflow clearance for the thick cooler. Common issues include forgetting to seat the power cables fully and leaving the protective bracket on the I/O shield.

Limits of PCIe 4.0 and display outputs

The board uses PCI Express 4.0 x16, so bandwidth halves on PCIe 3.0 platforms. Two HDMI 2.1 ports and three DisplayPort 1.4a connectors support multi-monitor and VR setups. SLI is technically present but no longer supported in modern drivers or games.
