16GB GDDR6 for 1440p gaming

The ASUS TUF Gaming RX 7800 XT OG Edition targets gamers and creators who want strong 1440p frame rates with 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The Radeon RX 7800 XT chip provides 3840 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface. HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs drive up to four displays at 7680 x 4320 resolution. DirectX 12 Ultimate and OpenGL 4.6 support cover modern APIs.

PCIe 4.0 slot and power cables

Your motherboard must provide a full-length PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot and enough physical clearance for a triple-fan card. The power supply needs the required 8-pin connectors and sufficient wattage for the GPU plus the rest of the system. A case with good front-to-rear airflow helps the axial-tech fans move the 24% extra air they are designed for. Verify that your OS and drivers support the AMD Radeon RX 7000 series.

Axial-tech fans and military-grade capacitors

Three axial-tech fans with dual ball bearings push 24% more airflow than the previous design while lasting up to twice as long. A metal exoskeleton adds rigidity and vents to help dissipate heat from the GPU and memory. Military-grade capacitors rated for 20K hours at 105C keep the power rail stable under load. Auto-extreme automated manufacturing improves consistency, and GPU Tweak III lets you balance thermals, noise and power draw.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the ASUS TUF Gaming RX 7800 XT OG Edition and do I need to buy power cables separately?

The card includes the GPU with its triple-fan cooler, metal exoskeleton and pre-applied thermal interface. Power cables are not included; your power supply must provide the required PCIe connectors.

Should I choose the 16GB GDDR6 version or is there another capacity for this model?

This OG Edition is only offered with 16GB of GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus. No other memory capacity exists for this specific SKU.

What does the 3840 stream processor count mean for actual 1440p gaming performance?

The 3840 stream processors handle the heavy lifting in modern titles. Paired with 16GB GDDR6 and PCIe 4.0 x16 bandwidth, the card delivers high frame rates at 1440p ultra settings in most current games.
