Pairs an AM5 board with a 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X, delivering DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0 graphics and M.2 slots, WiFi 7, 2.5Gb LAN, dual USB4 40Gbps ports and a 16+2+1 80A power design
Motherboard TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI
CPU + R9 9900X
The ASUS TUF Gaming X870-Plus WiFi motherboard paired with the Ryzen 9 9900X delivers a Socket AM5 platform built for advanced AI computing. The 12-core, 24-thread processor reaches a 5.6 GHz max boost and provides 64 MB L3 cache. The board supports DDR5 4400 memory up to 256 GB across four 288-pin slots with dual-channel architecture and EXPO profiles.
An enhanced power solution uses 16+2+1 80A SPS stages on an 8-layer PCB with ProCool connectors for stable delivery. Rear I/O includes dual USB4 40Gbps Type-C ports, three USB 10Gbps Type-A ports, four USB 5Gbps Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and 7.1-channel audio. Front-panel headers add a USB 20Gbps Type-C connector with 30W PD fast charging.
The CPU provides one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 5.0 M.2 2280 slots, while the chipset adds two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. SATA RAID 0/1/5/10 is available, though RAID 5 requires a Ryzen 9000 series processor. DDR5 memory tops out at 5600 MT/s on the CPU controller, so faster kits run via EXPO or AEMP within board limits.

Other versions of this model
The board provides one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot running at x16 mode, so the graphics card is limited to PCIe 5.0 bandwidth.
It follows the standard ATX form factor, so any case with ATX standoffs and I/O shield cut-out will fit the board.
Lift the lever, align the triangle on the Ryzen 9 9900X with the socket marker, lower the chip without force, close the lever, then attach the cooler — forgetting to remove the socket cover or skipping the alignment triangle are the common errors.
