X870 motherboard and Ryzen 7 9850X3D combo with 16+2+1 80A power, four M.2 slots, PCIe 5.0, 5Gb Ethernet and WiFi 7
Model TUF GAMING X870-PRO WIFI7 W NEO
CPU + Ryzen 7 9850X3D
This bundle pairs an ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PRO WIFI7 W NEO motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor. The CPU delivers 8 cores and 16 threads on the Zen 5 architecture with a max boost of 5.6 GHz. The board supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series CPUs via the AM5 socket. It is built for demanding gaming and AI workloads.
The motherboard uses 16+2+1 80A power stages on an 8-layer PCB with dual 8+8 pin ProCool connectors. AI Cooling II and AI Overclocking manage thermals and power draw automatically under load. A 64MB BIOS supports AMD EXPO, Intel XMP and ASUS AEMP profiles for memory tuning. The Realtek ALC1220P codec provides 7.1 channel audio.
Four M.2 slots accept PCIe 5.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 x4 drives with Q-Release for tool-free swaps. Two SATA 6Gb/s ports and RAID 0/1/5/10 support round out storage options. Rear I/O includes USB4 at 40Gbps, a 20Gbps USB-C port with 30W power delivery, WiFi 7 and 5Gb Ethernet. Q-Antenna and BIOS FlashBack simplify setup and maintenance.

Lift the socket lever, align the gold triangle on the CPU with the socket corner, place the chip gently without force, lower the lever until it clicks, then attach the cooler using the AM5 mounting holes — the step often missed is removing the protective plastic cover from the socket before seating the processor.
The Q-Release latches on the four M.2 slots are rated for repeated use; if a latch feels loose or an SSD is not held firmly, replace the individual latch assembly — no other M.2 maintenance is required.
The 80A power stages are cooled by the TUF heatsink array; under continuous heavy loads the VRM temperature typically hits its throttle point before the CPU reaches its 5.6 GHz boost ceiling, so case airflow directly over the heatsink becomes the limiting factor.
