ASUS TUF GT301 Ryzen Gaming Desktop

The ASUS TUF GT301 is a pre-built gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor running at 3.8 GHz. It includes 128 GB of DDR5 memory and an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card with 16 GB GDDR6 video memory. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and features RGB lighting inside the chassis.

Thermals Noise and Power

A 240 mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals while a 750 W power supply feeds the complete build. The case design supports airflow for the graphics card and memory during extended sessions. Integrated audio and 2.5G Ethernet handle sound and wired networking, while a wireless card provides Wi-Fi connectivity.

Storage Capacity and Speed

Primary storage is a 1 TB NVMe solid-state drive for fast boot and game loading. A secondary 2 TB hard drive adds bulk capacity for media and backups. Buyers who need more than 1 TB of high-speed storage should consider adding another NVMe drive.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240mm liquid cooler in the ASUS TUF GT301 case, and what step do people often miss?

Mount the radiator to the case fan locations, connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN connector, then plug the RGB cable into the motherboard header — skipping the pump-header step leaves the cooler running at minimum speed.

Which components in this desktop will need maintenance or replacement first?

The 240mm liquid cooler pump and radiator fans are the only moving parts beyond the 2TB HDD; plan to check coolant levels and fan bearings after several years of continuous use.

What limit appears first during sustained gaming on the Ryzen 7 9700X with this 240mm liquid cooler?

The 750W power supply sets the overall power ceiling, so prolonged heavy loads on the 8-core 3.8GHz CPU and Radeon RX 7800 XT will hit the PSU limit before thermal throttling occurs.
