ASUS TUF GT501 Gaming Desktop

This ASUS TUF GT501 system is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built for enthusiasts who want a complete Windows 11 machine ready to play. It pairs a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor at 4.3 GHz with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card and 128 GB of DDR5 memory. A 240 mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU thermals in check inside the TUF GT501 chassis.

Upgrade from air-cooled or lower-tier builds

Moving from an air-cooled platform or a system with fewer cores and less video memory makes sense when you need sustained boost clocks for long sessions and 16 GB of GDDR6 for high-resolution textures. The 4 TB NVMe SSD removes the storage juggle between current titles, while the 850 W supply feeds the whole stack without headroom worries. Builders who need a second graphics card or more than 128 GB of RAM should look elsewhere.

Verify case clearance and motherboard layout

Confirm that your intended workspace fits the GT501 dimensions and that the 240 mm radiator mounting points match your airflow plan. The board uses the AMD AM5 chipset with 288-pin DIMM slots, so any future memory additions must be DDR5. Check that the 2.5 G Ethernet port and integrated wireless meet your network infrastructure before ordering.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 240 mm liquid cooler need inside the ASUS TUF GT501 case?

The 240 mm radiator mounts in the GT501 chassis; verify the case manual for exact radiator clearance and fan orientation before installing additional components.

Which power cables must be connected to the Radeon RX 9070 XT during installation?

Connect the required PCIe power cables from the 850 W supply to the graphics card; missing or loose connectors are the most common cause of no-post on first boot.

Can the 128 GB DDR5 memory be expanded later, and what module type is used?

The system uses 288-pin DDR5 DIMMs; check the motherboard manual for maximum capacity and supported speeds before adding more modules.
