System identity

The ASUS TUF GT501 White is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores at 5.7GHz. It pairs 128GB of DDR5 memory with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12GB of GDDR7 memory. A 2TB NVMe SSD and an 850W power supply complete the platform, which ships with Windows 11 Home installed.

Ideal fit

This machine suits players and creators who want a ready-to-run system for 1440p or 4K gaming, VR sessions and multi-threaded workloads such as video editing or 3D rendering. The single 2TB drive and fixed 850W unit mean buyers who need more storage bays, a higher-wattage supply or a different chassis layout should look at alternative configurations.

Build context

The 240mm liquid cooler handles the 24-core CPU inside the GT501 case, while the PCI Express x16 slot hosts the RTX 5070. Four DDR5 slots are all populated, so memory expansion requires replacing modules rather than adding them. The 850W supply powers the included components with headroom for typical peripherals, and Wi-Fi plus RGB lighting are integrated.

Questions about this item

Does the 850W power supply leave enough headroom for the RTX 5070 and Core Ultra 9 285K together?

The 850W unit is sized for the 12GB GDDR7 graphics card and 24-core 5.7GHz processor as shipped, so no extra capacity calculation is needed.

Can I keep my current PCIe 3.0 NVMe drive as a secondary drive alongside the 2TB NVMe SSD?

Yes, the motherboard provides additional M.2 slots that accept NVMe drives, so a PCIe 3.0 unit will work at its rated speed.

How do I confirm the 240mm liquid cooler is keeping the CPU at 5.7GHz under load?

Open a hardware monitor such as HWInfo and watch the Core Ultra 9 285K core clocks; sustained 5.7GHz means the cooler is performing as intended.
