27-inch 165Hz IPS gaming monitor

The ASUS TUF VG279Q1A is a 27-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It uses an IPS panel for wide 178-degree viewing angles and includes built-in speakers. The display features ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur technology for a 1ms MPRT response time alongside Adaptive-Sync support. It is designed for smooth, immersive gameplay.

Competitive gamers needing high refresh rates

This monitor suits players who want a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time for fast-paced titles like shooters or racing games. FreeSync Premium and G-Sync Compatible support provide tear-free visuals with both AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTX graphics cards. Shadow Boost improves visibility in dark scenes. Buyers who need a higher resolution than 1920 x 1080 for detailed creative work or prefer a curved screen should look at other models.

165Hz refresh rate with 1ms MPRT

The single specification that decides suitability is the 165Hz refresh rate combined with a 1ms MPRT response time via ELMB technology. This pairing determines motion clarity in competitive gaming. If your graphics card cannot consistently push high frame rates at 1920 x 1080, you will not benefit fully from the 165Hz panel. Verify your GPU can deliver the frame rates your games demand at this refresh rate.
