ASUS UHURU WM-170517-BK Gaming Mouse

The ASUS UHURU WM-170517-BK is a wireless gaming mouse with 16 programmable buttons and an optical sensor. It connects via 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth and weighs 150 grams. The rechargeable battery provides up to 70 hours of use. It is built for MMO and RPG players who need extensive button layouts.

2.4GHz Wireless Range and DPI Steps

The 2.4GHz connection works at distances up to 50 feet with near-instantaneous response. Sensitivity adjusts across five fixed DPI levels: 1000, 1800, 3600, 5800, and 12000. Lighting cycles through seven colours automatically and cannot be locked to a single hue. The mouse requires a USB port for the wireless receiver.

Upgrade from Fewer Buttons or Wired Mice

This model replaces mice with limited side buttons or tethered cables. The 16-button layout suits complex keybinds in MMOs and RPGs. The jump is worth it when you need more programmable inputs than a standard 7-button mouse provides and want wireless freedom without swapping batteries.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12000 DPI version or a lower maximum like 10000 DPI?

This model reaches 12000 DPI with five selectable steps at 1000, 1800, 3600, 5800 and 12000; choose the highest ceiling if you want the widest sensitivity range for fast-paced shooters or high-resolution displays.

What does 12000 DPI actually feel like in a game?

At 12000 DPI the cursor crosses a 4K screen with barely a centimetre of hand movement, so most players drop to 1800–3600 for aiming and only use the top step for quick turns or multi-monitor setups.

How does the 2.4 GHz wireless link limit latency and range?

The 2.4 GHz connection delivers near-instant response up to 15 metres, keeping input lag imperceptible in competitive titles while allowing couch-distance play.
