23.8" 120Hz IPS Display

The ASUS VA249QG is a 23.8 inch Full HD monitor with a 120Hz IPS panel and 1ms MPRT. It targets office workers and casual gamers who want smooth motion and accurate colour from wide viewing angles. The frameless design fits multi-mount setups and includes built-in speakers for basic audio.

Suits Single-Screen Work and Light Play

This monitor suits users who need one responsive screen for documents, web browsing and entry-level gaming at 1080p. Buyers who want more screen area, higher pixel density or refresh rates above 120Hz should look at larger or faster panels. The single DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4 ports limit multi-device switching.

120Hz Refresh at 1920x1080

The deciding specification is the 120Hz refresh rate combined with 1920x1080 resolution over DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4. This pairing defines the motion clarity and detail level available for both productivity and casual gaming. Confirm your graphics output matches these interfaces before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the VA249QG's D-Sub port work with my older graphics card that only has VGA output?

Yes, the monitor includes a D-Sub (VGA) port alongside HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2, so it connects directly to legacy GPUs without an adapter.

How can I confirm the 120Hz refresh rate is active after connecting the VA249QG?

Open Windows display settings or the ASUS DisplayWidget Center and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 120 Hz; the on-screen menu also reports the current timing.

Does the VA249QG box include a DisplayPort cable or only HDMI?

The box contains an HDMI cable, power cord, quick start guide and warranty card; a DisplayPort 1.2 cable is not supplied and must be purchased separately.
