Fast IPS panel for competitive gaming

The 23.8-inch Full HD display uses a Fast IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 200Hz refresh rate. A .3ms minimum response time keeps motion sharp during fast-paced gameplay. It is suited to players who value speed over pixel density.

Variable refresh rate with ELMB SYNC

FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatible support remove tearing and stutter without locking the frame rate. ELMB SYNC activates extreme low motion blur reduction alongside variable refresh rate to cut ghosting. The combination keeps motion clear when frame rates fluctuate.

DisplayWidget Center and TUF Gaming AI

DisplayWidget Center lets you adjust on-screen settings with a mouse instead of monitor buttons. TUF Gaming AI adds software features that enhance the gaming experience. Buyers who need built-in speakers or a USB hub will not find them here.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ASUS VG249Q5A and enable the 200 Hz refresh rate?

Attach the included stand, connect a DisplayPort or HDMI cable, then open your OS display settings and select 200 Hz; the step many miss is forgetting to change the refresh-rate dropdown from its default value

What maintenance will the ASUS VG249Q5A need later?

Clean the Fast IPS panel with a microfibre cloth and non-abrasive screen cleaner; no user-replaceable parts are inside, so no scheduled component swaps are required

What limit appears first during sustained use of the ASUS VG249Q5A?

The panel tops out at 200 Hz and 0.3 ms response time, so motion clarity cannot improve beyond those figures even if the GPU pushes higher frame rates
