15.6-inch FHD laptop for everyday work

The ASUS VivoBook F512DA-EB51 pairs a quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB PCIe G3x2 SSD. A 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare panel covers 45% NTSC at 250 nits. Integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics share system memory. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Fingerprint reader and mixed USB ports

A built-in fingerprint reader enables Windows Hello sign-in without a password. Connectivity includes two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-A (Gen1) and one USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen1), plus HDMI and a combo audio jack. Wireless uses Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.2. Memory is configured as 4 GB onboard plus a 4 GB module, with a 12 GB ceiling.

Suits students and office users needing a light

Buyers who want a straightforward clamshell for web apps, documents and video calls will find the spec adequate. The 256 GB drive and 12 GB memory limit leave little room for large local libraries or heavy multitasking. Gamers, colour-critical creators or anyone needing a touchscreen should look at something else.
