Everyday laptop for study and office

The ASUS Vivobook X512DA-BTS2020RL is a 15.6 inch notebook built around an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor with four cores that reach 3.7 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Home and a 720p webcam for video calls. The silver chassis suits students and office workers who need a straightforward machine for documents, web browsing and light multitasking.

8 GB memory and 512 GB NVMe storage

The system includes 8 GB of DDR4 2400 memory, of which 4 GB is soldered and the maximum supported capacity is 8 GB, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. The 512 GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot times and quiet operation, yet the single drive bay limits total capacity for users with large media libraries or multiple virtual machines.

Connectivity and display extras

An HDMI port lets you connect an external monitor or projector for presentations. The built-in card reader accepts common memory cards for quick photo transfers. The 15.6 inch FHD panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input, while integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics handle basic video playback and casual titles but not demanding 3D workloads.

How can I verify the Vega 8 graphics and 8GB DDR4 memory are active after the Windows 10 Home setup finishes?

Open Device Manager and confirm AMD Radeon Vega 8 appears under Display adapters, then check Task Manager Performance tab to see 8GB DDR4 2400 memory recognised.

Does the box include a USB-C charger or do I need to buy a separate power adapter for this 15.6 inch model?
