Lincoln G400 Hand-Operated Pail Pump

The Lincoln G400 is a lever-action hand pump designed to dispense oil directly from 25 to 50 lb buckets. It suits workshops and maintenance teams that need a portable, manually powered transfer tool without relying on compressed air or electricity.

Self-Priming Lever Action

The pump primes itself and moves fluid through a 48 in hose using a lever stroke. Wetted parts include aluminum, cast iron, graphite, paper, polypropylene and steel with polypropylene seals and piston. Maximum fluid viscosity is rated at SAE140.

Fits Standard Pails and Frees Up Air Supply

The unit mounts on common 25 to 50 lb pails and operates by hand, leaving compressed-air lines and electrical outlets free for other equipment. No metering function is included, so volume is controlled by the operator.

Questions about this item

How is the G400 pump installed on a 25 to 50 lb bucket and what step is often missed?

The pump threads onto the bucket opening; the step often missed is ensuring the seal seats evenly before tightening to prevent air leaks.

What maintenance or replacement will the G400 pump need later?

The polypropylene piston and seals wear over time; replace them when lever effort rises or fluid bypasses the piston.

What limit appears first on the G400 pump during sustained use with thick fluid?

The SAE 140 maximum viscosity rating is the first limit; heavier fluids cause slow priming and high lever force.
