Digital tube shooter

Tempest 4000 is a downloadable arcade-style tube shooter published by Atari under model 47952. The game activates on Steam and requires a 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 system with an Intel Core i3-2120 processor at 3.30 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4600 or higher, DirectX 10 and 2 GB of storage. It is a new digital code delivered without physical media.

Sustained arcade intensity

The title maintains the original fast-paced loop across one hundred levels, keeping enemy density and visual effects constant during extended sessions. Minimum graphics hardware such as Intel HD Graphics 4600 handles the vector-style rendering without frame drops, while the 4 GB memory floor prevents stutter when particle counts peak. A Windows-compatible sound card completes the baseline requirement.

Classic arcade upgrade

This release replaces the original Tempest cabinet experience with a modern Steam version that adds one hundred stages, updated visuals and online leaderboards. The jump is worth it for players who want the authentic tube-shooter feel on current Windows PCs without hunting for vintage hardware. Buyers in blocked regions including AF, BY, CF, CD, CU, IR, IQ, KP, LB, LY, MM, RU, SO, SD, SY, UA, VE, YE, ZW and SS cannot activate the code.

Questions about this item

Does the Steam download for Tempest 4000 run hot or loud on a PC with an Intel Core i3-2120 CPU 3.30 GHz?

The game lists Intel Core i3-2120 CPU 3.30 GHz as the minimum processor, 4 GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4600 or higher, so a system meeting those specs should handle the tube shooter without excessive heat or fan noise.

What account must I already have before the 47952 code will activate?

A Steam account is required for game activation and installation, and the code is blocked in several countries including AF, BY, CF, CD, CU, IR, IQ, KP, LB, LY, MM, RU, SO, SD, SY, UA, VE, YE, ZW, SS.

Will Tempest 4000 install on my Windows 7 SP1 64-bit machine alongside older titles?

Minimum OS is Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit with DirectX 10 and 2 GB storage, so it will run on that older 64-bit Windows version alongside other compatible games.
