Compact Wireless Gaming Mouse

The ATKGEAR R1 S is a lightweight gaming mouse built for players who value speed and portability. Its compact shape suits claw and fingertip grips, while the 54g target weight reduces fatigue during long sessions. The dual-mode design offers both 2.4GHz wireless and wired USB-C operation for flexible setups.

Ice-Feel Coating and USB-C Charging

An ice-feeling coating provides a smooth, dry surface that resists sweat buildup during intense play. The USB Type-C port handles wired gameplay and charging without needing a separate receiver dock. Four buttons and a single scroll wheel keep the layout simple for competitive titles that demand quick, reliable inputs.

Adjustable Polling Up to 4000Hz

The PAW3395 optical sensor pairs with a Nordic 52840 MCU to deliver adjustable polling rates from 125Hz to 4000Hz. Lower rates extend battery life for casual use, while the maximum setting minimises click-to-screen latency in fast-paced games. Weight varies between 48g and 55g depending on the specific unit.

Questions about this item

What does the USB Type-C interface cap the polling rate at?

The USB Type-C connection supports the full adjustable polling range of 125 to 4000Hz, so the wired link does not limit the 4000Hz maximum.

What physical dimensions or mounting requirements should I check before buying?

The mouse weighs 54g and measures roughly 48 to 55g across variants; its compact shape fits most claw and fingertip grips without needing extra mounting hardware.

How do I switch between 2.4GHz wireless and wired modes, and what step do people miss?

Plug the USB Type-C cable to force wired mode; unplug it and the mouse automatically reverts to 2.4GHz using the stored dongle pairing — users often forget to remove the cable when they want wireless again.
