Atomos Sunhood for Ninja Phone camera accessory

Sunhood for Ninja Phone

The Atomos Sunhood is a dedicated camera accessory that shades the Ninja Phone screen from ambient light. It attaches directly to the device without tools, giving videographers and content creators a clearer view when monitoring footage outdoors. The laminated glass-fibre construction protects the display from scratches, dust and minor impacts during transport and on-set use. It is built for quick deployment in fast-moving shooting environments.

Outdoor shooters needing glare reduction

This accessory suits anyone recording or monitoring with a Ninja Phone in bright daylight where screen reflections make exposure and focus judgments difficult. It is not intended for studio-only workflows where controlled lighting already eliminates glare. Users who do not own a Ninja Phone cannot use this sunhood, as it is shaped specifically for that device. Buyers looking for a universal monitor hood should consider other options.

Blocks glare for HDR monitoring

The visor reduces surface reflections so the screen’s HDR output remains readable in direct sunlight, preserving contrast and colour accuracy for critical focus and exposure decisions. It adds a layer of physical protection against everyday handling hazards without adding bulk. The hood does not increase screen brightness or add any electronic enhancement; it relies solely on optical shading. In extremely low-angle sun the visor length may not eliminate all flare.
