Wireless 4K Video Transmitter

The Atomos TX sends UHD 4K30 footage over a 5 GHz link up to 985 ft. It accepts both HDMI and SDI sources and provides an HDMI loop output so the camera operator keeps a local feed while the signal travels wirelessly to monitoring stations.

Multi-Receiver and Mobile Monitoring

A single transmitter can feed up to four compatible receivers at once. The system also streams to Android or iOS smartphones, giving directors, clients or focus pullers a wireless view without extra hardware. Power comes from DC, L-series batteries or USB-C, letting the unit run on standard camera rigs or portable packs.

Suited for On-Set Mobility

Crews that need to reposition cameras, switch to handheld or gimbal work, or keep client monitors live without cable runs will benefit. Productions requiring higher frame rates, 6G-SDI bandwidth, or transmission beyond the stated range should evaluate alternative wireless systems.

Questions about this item

What maintenance or replacement will the wireless transmitter need over time?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts or scheduled service items; keep the firmware current and protect the HDMI and SDI ports from dust and physical strain.

Which limit appears first during continuous operation?

The 30 fps ceiling at UHD 4K resolution caps the video pipeline before bandwidth or range becomes a factor.

How much heat, noise or power draw should I expect when it runs all day?

Silent solid-state operation with no fan; power can be supplied from DC, L-Series battery or USB-C, so heat stays low and noise is absent.
