Ready to play vinyl

The Audio-Technica AT-LP60X-BW is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable built for newcomers and casual listeners who want a simple plug-and-play experience. It plays 33 and 45 RPM records and includes a built-in switchable phono preamp so it connects directly to powered speakers, a stereo receiver or a computer. A redesigned tonearm base and headshell improve tracking while an external AC adapter keeps conversion noise out of the signal chain. The replaceable Dual Magnet cartridge is integrated into the headshell for easy setup.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This turntable suits anyone who wants to start or return to vinyl without adjusting a counterweight, changing cartridges or cueing the tonearm by hand. It is not for listeners who need a manual tonearm, adjustable counterweight, removable headshell for cartridge swapping or support for additional playback speeds.

The specification that decides

The built-in switchable phono preamp is the single feature that determines compatibility; if your amplifier or speakers already have a dedicated phono stage you can switch the turntable to line level, otherwise leave it on phono for a direct connection.

Questions about this item

How does the fully automatic belt-drive system work when I put a record on?

The tonearm lifts, moves to the lead-in groove and lowers itself at the press of a button, then returns and stops automatically when the side finishes.

What does the switchable built-in phono preamp let me connect to?

It enables direct connection to any line-level input on a stereo, powered speakers or computer without needing a separate phono stage.

What space and surface does the turntable need to sit properly?

A stable, level shelf large enough for the plinth and the included dust cover when open, with a nearby mains socket for the external AC adapter.
