Precision aluminium bubble level ensures accurate turntable platter levelling for optimal playback performance
The Audio-Technica AT615A is a precision aluminum bubble level designed for turntable setup. It helps vinyl enthusiasts achieve accurate horizontal alignment for optimal playback performance.
The bubble vial provides a visual reference for leveling but cannot measure angular deviation in degrees. Users must interpret the bubble position themselves, which introduces subjectivity compared to digital alternatives.
Place the level on the platter or plinth and adjust the turntable feet until the bubble centers. The main difficulty is ensuring the surface measured represents the true playing plane, as platter flatness varies.

The AT615A is an aluminium bubble level for levelling the turntable plinth, while the AT-VM530XEN is a dual moving-magnet cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil nude elliptical stylus; they serve completely different functions.
A 25 dB separation at 1 kHz indicates the level of crosstalk between left and right channels; higher values give a wider stereo image, and this figure is typical for a quality moving-magnet cartridge.
The cartridge is designed for a 47 k ohm phono input; using the correct load ensures the specified 3.2 mV output and flat frequency response up to 25,000 Hz.
