Precision-machined stainless-steel stabilizer holds records firmly to reduce resonance and improve sound quality, weighing 450 g and fitting spindles up to 21 mm
The Audio-Technica AT628A is a 450 g stainless-steel disc stabiliser finished in silver. It sits on the spindle to hold vinyl firmly against the platter, reducing resonance and improving playback clarity. Two recessed inner rings on the underside accommodate records that bulge slightly near the centre hole. The unit is manufactured in Japan.
Before ordering, verify that your turntable can support the stabiliser’s mass and that the spindle is no longer than 21 mm. Audio-Technica notes the AT628A must not be used with the AT-LP3XBT, AT-LPW30, Sound Burger, or any model in the AT-LP60, AT-LP60X or AT-LP70X series. Consult your turntable manufacturer if you are unsure about compatibility.
The stabiliser ships as a single component with no extra hardware, cartridges, mats or software. Its effect comes entirely from the added mass and the recessed-ring design that secures warped records. No further items are required to use it once turntable compatibility is confirmed.

The package contains the stainless-steel stabiliser only; no tools or additional hardware are required for use.
Choose this model if your turntable can support a 450 g stabiliser and has a spindle up to 21 mm long; avoid it on AT-LP3XBT, AT-LPW30, AT-LP60, AT-LP60X, AT-LP70X series and Sound Burger models.
The mass presses the vinyl flat against the platter, while the two recessed inner rings clear slight bulges near the centre hole, lowering resonance and improving playback clarity.
