What the Audiovox F8 GPS Tracker does

The Audiovox F8 is a compact Bluetooth GPS tracker designed for real-time location monitoring without monthly fees. It pairs with the free SeekTag app on Android or iPhone to show the position of vehicles, children, elderly relatives or pets. A 12-channel receiver and 2 GB of onboard memory support continuous logging for up to 365 days on a single charge.

Build quality and everyday attachment

The tracker carries an IP65 rating, so it resists dust and water splashes during daily use. A supplied magnetic case clamps securely to metal surfaces on cars, motorcycles or trailers, while a keychain loop lets you fasten it to a backpack, collar or luggage strap. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery powers the unit for a full year before needing a USB top-up.

Compatibility checks before you buy

Verify that your phone runs a version of Android or iOS supported by the SeekTag app, as the tracker communicates solely via Bluetooth. Ensure you have a free USB port or charger for the occasional recharge, and confirm that the magnetic mount will adhere to the intended metal surface. The device does not use a SIM card or cellular network, so coverage depends on Bluetooth range.

Questions about this item

What Bluetooth protocol does the F8 use and how does it limit real-time range?

The F8 connects via Bluetooth to the SeekTag app, so real-time tracking works only while the tracker stays within Bluetooth range of your phone.

What mounting options come in the box for the IP65-rated case?

A magnetic case for metal surfaces and a keychain loop for collars, bags or straps are included.

How do you activate the 365-day battery life on the F8?

Charge the lithium-ion battery fully, pair the tracker with the SeekTag app over Bluetooth, then attach it; the 12-channel GPS only wakes when the app requests a location fix.
