Light Wood Laundry Countertop

The AudioVox LF-WDCT1C is a 54 inch countertop designed to sit on front-load washer and dryer pairs. It creates a stable, light wood work surface for folding and sorting without drilling into walls. The unit measures 53.8 by 27.5 by 2.5 inches and weighs 33.1 pounds. Integrated side and back safety ledges prevent items from sliding off during machine cycles. Assembly requires attaching the ledges and protective padding with included hardware.

Renters and Homeowners Avoiding Wall Mounts

This countertop suits anyone who wants laundry room storage but cannot or will not install wall shelves. It rests directly on the appliances, so no brackets or anchors are needed. Buyers whose machines are stacked, top-load, or spaced wider than 53.8 inches cannot use this platform. Households needing enclosed cabinet storage or a deeper folding area should look at a different solution.

53.8 Inch Width Fits Standard Side-by-Side Pairs

The single specification that decides fit is the 53.8 inch overall width. Measure the combined span of your washer and dryer; if it matches this dimension the countertop will sit securely. If the pair is narrower or wider, the ledges will not align and the surface will not be stable.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5 in thick light wood laminate surface need resealing or refinishing after repeated spills?

The laminate surface wipes clean with a damp cloth and does not require resealing or refinishing under normal laundry-room use.

What is the first limit reached when the 53.8 in wide countertop carries heavy detergent bottles during spin cycles?

The side and back safety ledges are designed to stop items from sliding off once vibration exceeds the ledge height.

Does the 33.1 lb countertop transmit vibration noise to the room when both machines run all day?

The protective padding included with the side ledges dampens vibration transfer between the appliances and the countertop surface.
