What this controller does

The AUTYUE 2x2 HDMI Video Wall Controller splits one HDMI or DVI source across four HDMI displays. It builds a 2x2 video wall or other layouts such as 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x1, 3x1 and 4x1. Installers, integrators and digital-signage operators use it to create large dynamic screens from standard LCD TVs, projectors or DLP panels.

Input and output limits

The HDMI input accepts 1080P at 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz and 3840x2160P at 24 or 30 Hz, compliant with HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4. Each of the four HDMI outputs is fixed at 1080P 60 Hz RGB 4:4:4 24-bit. Audio is delivered through a 3.5 mm stereo jack and a 5.1-channel optical SPDIF port. RS232 provides serial control for automation systems.

Build and daily use

The black metal chassis measures 5 x 5 x 0.5 inches and weighs 387 g, so it fits on a shelf or behind a display without a rack. Front-panel buttons and an IR remote switch the eight splicing modes instantly. A 180-degree flip per screen in 2x2 mode reduces visible bezel gaps. USB playback supports video, image, audio and document files with pause, fast-forward, loop and rolling-subtitle functions. The DC 5 V 2 A supply is included.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 4-port version or a different capacity for a 2x2 wall?

The 4-port model provides exactly four HDMI outputs, matching a 2x2 layout without unused ports.

The box says 4K input but what resolution actually reaches each display?

Each of the four outputs is limited to 1920x1080P at 60Hz, so the wall shows a combined 1080P image per screen.

Does the HDMI 1.4 input cap the refresh rate at 30 Hz for 4K sources?

Yes, 3840x2160P is accepted only at 24 or 30 Hz over the HDMI 1.4 input, while 1080P reaches 60 Hz.
