Bluetooth 5.3 USB Adapter

The AUTYUE Q2521_B adds Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity to a desktop or laptop through a standard USB port. It is intended for users who want to pair wireless headphones, keyboards, mice, speakers or smartphones with a computer that lacks built-in Bluetooth. The adapter uses a Realtek chip and supports dual-mode low-power transmission. Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 recognise the device without additional drivers.

Windows 8.1 10 11 Driver-Free

The single specification that decides compatibility is the operating system version. Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 provide effortless setup with no driver installation required. Windows 7 and older systems may need manual driver installation from the supplied CD or a download link. The adapter is fully backward compatible with Bluetooth 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 5.1 peripherals.

USB 2.0 Port 10-20 Metre Range

The adapter plugs into any USB 2.0 port and is also compatible with USB 3.0 sockets. Its ultra-compact design allows it to remain inserted in a laptop during transport. It delivers a transmission rate of 3Mbps and an unobstructed signal range of 10-20 metres. Multiple device types can connect simultaneously for audio, data and image transfers.

Questions about this item

How does the 3 Mbps rate translate when I am actually moving files or streaming audio?

The 3 Mbps peak rate is the Bluetooth 5.3 specification limit; real-world throughput will be lower and depends on distance, obstacles and the connected device's own Bluetooth implementation.

What does the USB 2.0 interface mean for speed and compatibility?

The adapter uses a USB 2.0 plug that works in USB 3.0 ports as well; Bluetooth 5.3 tops out at 3 Mbps, so the USB 2.0 bus is not a bottleneck.

How much space does the dongle need beside the USB port?

The ultra-compact design keeps the body barely larger than the USB plug itself, so it fits alongside other ports and can stay inserted in a laptop during transport.
