USB 2.0 extension over Cat5e/6

The AV Access U2EX50 extends four USB 2.0 ports up to 196 ft using a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It connects a PC, Mac, PS5, Android or Linux host to webcams, keyboards, mice or other USB 1.1 and 2.0 peripherals without installing any driver. The kit includes a transmitter, a receiver, an 18 V power adapter, a 1.5 m USB-A to USB-B cable and mounting brackets with screws.

Passive cooling and locked power

The transmitter draws power directly from the host USB port while the receiver uses the supplied 18 V adapter with a locking DC connector for a secure fit. Both units are housed in compact metal enclosures measuring 3.54 in x 2.8 in x 0.98 in and weighing .671 kg, so they dissipate heat silently without fans. Built-in surge protection is rated at 8 kV air-gap and 4 kV contact discharge.

Four ports and WebcamXP Pro

Four downstream ports let you run two webcams simultaneously along with a keyboard and mouse or other devices. The manufacturer recommends WebcamXP Pro software to synchronise the two cameras. Mounting brackets allow the receiver to be fixed to a wall or desk, keeping the cabling tidy in conference rooms, surveillance setups or gaming stations.
