What the Audikast 4 Is

The Avantree Audikast 4 is a Bluetooth 5.4 transmitter that sends TV audio to wireless headphones or Auracast hearing aids. It connects through Optical TOSLINK or 3.5 mm AUX outputs. The device is built for viewers who want private listening without disturbing others nearby.

The Deciding Specification

Your television must have an Optical or 3.5 mm AUX audio output; HDMI-only sets will not work. In Classic Bluetooth mode only one headphone can connect at a time. Auracast mode allows unlimited compatible receivers but requires Auracast-enabled headphones or hearing aids.

What the Accessories Change

No remote control is included, so volume and pairing are managed on the transmitter itself. The package supplies the necessary cables for Optical and AUX connection. A separate HDMI ARC audio extractor is required if your TV lacks Optical or AUX ports or if you wish to use a soundbar simultaneously.

Questions about this item

How does Bluetooth 5.4 change the way audio streams to my headphones?

Bluetooth 5.4 adds Auracast broadcast audio, letting one transmitter stream to unlimited Auracast headphones or hearing aids, while aptX Adaptive and aptX-HD keep latency low for a single classic Bluetooth pair.

What does the optical or 3.5 mm AUX input actually limit?

The transmitter only accepts stereo PCM over optical or AUX; it cannot pass multichannel formats, and TVs with HDMI-only output need a separate extractor to work.

Will the 2.7 in by 2.9 in by 2.6 in box sit on my TV stand without blocking ports?

Its compact footprint fits on most stands, and the front-mounted optical and 3.5 mm AUX jacks keep cables facing forward so they do not interfere with rear-panel connections.
