Signal Conversion

The AVer AD-025 converts analogue RCA composite signals into digital HDMI output at 1080p 60Hz. It accepts PAL, NTSC3.58, NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N formats through a single composite input. The converter is aimed at owners of legacy game consoles, VCRs, DVD players or cameras who need to connect them to modern displays with HDMI ports.

Bundled Accessories

A USB cable, power adapter and HDMI cable are included so the unit works immediately without sourcing separate leads. The USB connection powers the converter, removing the need for an additional mains plug. Plug-and-play operation means no driver installation is required, and the supplied manual covers setup and aspect-ratio switching.

Capacity and Headroom

Output is limited to 720p or 1080p at 60Hz; the device does not support 3D or 4K and cannot enhance the source quality beyond the original composite signal. It handles standard-definition retro content comfortably but will not upscale to higher resolutions or refresh rates. Buyers needing HDMI-to-RCA conversion, multi-channel audio extraction or 4K output should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the USB power supply need replacing if used continuously?

The converter draws power from the included USB cable and power adapter; no internal battery or replaceable power module is present.

What limits the output when playing older consoles for long sessions?

Output is fixed at 1080p 60Hz or 720p 60Hz with 10-bit 162 MSPS sampling; the scaler cannot improve source quality beyond that resolution.

Does the aluminium case stay cool and silent during all-day use?

The passively cooled aluminium enclosure runs silently; with only 276 g mass and USB power levels, heat remains low during continuous operation.
