Captures 4K HDMI input and delivers 1080p 60 FPS USB 2.0 output with ultra-low latency for streaming, recording and conferencing
The AVer ZKHTAVCC21V30HZ20 is a compact media converter that captures HDMI or component video at up to 4K input and delivers 1080p 60FPS footage over USB 2.0. It targets streamers, educators and remote workers who need a lightweight, driver-free way to bring camera or gameplay sources into OBS, Zoom or QuickTime on Windows, macOS or Linux. Buyers who require 4K60 capture or internal PCIe bandwidth should look elsewhere.
The unit draws all power from the host USB port with no external adapter, so heat output stays minimal during typical recording or streaming sessions. Passive cooling keeps operation silent, and the 21.4 gram chassis adds negligible thermal load to a laptop or desktop. No fan noise or additional cabling is introduced into the workspace.
Two HDMI inputs and two component inputs let you switch between multiple cameras or consoles without unplugging cables. Recorded files save directly to the host drive in MKV or MP4 format, freeing the source device from internal storage limits. The card requires a system with at least an i5-3400 or i7-3537U CPU, 4 GB RAM and a GT630 or GT735M class GPU, so older ultraportables may fall short.

Connect the HDMI source to one of the two HDMI inputs, plug the USB 2.0 Type A connector into the computer, then select the device in OBS on Windows or QuickTime on macOS; the step often missed is installing OBS before first use on Windows.
No scheduled maintenance is required; keep the HDMI ports and USB connector free of dust and avoid cheap hubs that can cause signal issues, replacing only the cable if it becomes damaged.
The USB 2.0 Type A output caps capture at 1080p, so extended sessions cannot exceed that resolution regardless of the 4K HDMI input capability.
