Red 5-Piece Palette Knife Set

This Avery 5-Rot set contains five stainless-steel painting knives with solid wood handles. The blades resist wear and corrosion from acrylics, oils, modeling paste, plaster and other heavy media. Assorted shapes cover mixing, spreading, scumbling, scratching and large mural or theater work. The ergonomic grips suit professional artists, students and hobbyists alike.

Five Distinct Blade Profiles

Each knife offers a different blade length and contour, ranging from thumbnail scale to several inches long. The variety lets painters load broad colour fields, shape fine edges or scrape back layers without switching tools. Individual sleeves protect every blade during storage and transport. The forged joint between blade and handle adds structural strength.

Suited for Mixed-Media Studio Work

Buyers needing a compact, corrosion-resistant set for gesso, texture gels and aggregates will find the range practical. Painters who require flexible spring blades for delicate glazing or specialised knife shapes not included here should look at larger or more specialised collections.

Questions about this item

Will the stainless-steel blades need replacement if used with heavy modelling paste or plaster?

The blades are forged stainless steel that resists wear and corrosion from acrylics, oils, gesso, modelling paste, texture gels, aggregates and plaster, so they do not require scheduled replacement under normal studio use.

What stops the set from handling the largest murals or theatre backdrops?

The five knives range from thumbnail length to a couple of inches, limiting the area each stroke can cover on very large surfaces.

Do the wooden handles get hot or slippery during all-day painting sessions?

The solid wood handles are ergonomically shaped for a comfortable grip and do not conduct heat, remaining comfortable during extended use.
